Alyssa, My stomach turned when I first saw a clip of the show, Jersey Shore. Thank you for doing this parody!!! I am from a 29 year old Italian American girl from South Jersey. I grew up by the Wildwood shore. The Jersey Shore show makes Italian American’s look fake and ignorant. And, it also makes New Jersey look bad. New Jersey gets such a bad rap and the sad thing is that it is really a beautiful place with as many down to earth, intelligent people as any other state. Thanks again. Hugs!

We may indeed wonder about the next “real” this type of program where the participants, knowing filmed behave in an unnatural, closer to fiction and hope to get a better social position through their transition to the camera.

Alyssa.. Thank you! As a lifelong resident of the REAL NJ Shore, Im applaud your stance on this awful program. Not only is it offensive to Italians, it offensive to NJ and brings the wrong kind of attention to our beautiful shore. Im tired of NJ being portrayed as the armpit of America. Also, programming in general is going to down the tubes. We allow these famewhores all this attention. Bring back real programming and MTV, get back to the business of music videos!

Crazy and kinda creepy. I esp like the tagline at the end – “no wonder our perception of Jersey is distorted” – these few people on the show don’t represent the whole, just a small margin – but it makes you wonder if everyone is like that at the Shore
It’s about time ! Thank you Alyssa !!! Thank you for taking a stand against MTV as well with this !!! Viacom has been in such a ratings slump, and I have worked my whole life to get famous and to get on MTV, and they put these kids on tv who have zero talent and never worked a day in their lives….I actually know Nicole Snooki, She live’s about a halph an hour north from me in New York. Ever since the show aired all of a sudden it went straight to her head…Allot of the girls here, have such a distorted sense of reality here, and want to be Guidettes here…This has been going on here on the East Coast since about 2006…It make’s me sick. Some Promoter friends of mine wanted to book Snooki to do an appearance at a local nightclub and her Agents told us that she wouldn’t take anything less then $1500, which I found really disturbing because I only get like a hundred bucks to DJ for the night at the club sometimes. I appreciate you making fun of the whole Guido thing, Because I don’t know how much more I can take of young people behaving like this, Especially me being a DJ. Everyone I have met here in New York for the most part hasn’t been worth meeting because they all act like this….It’s really terrible. Thanks again for doing something like this, Helping to set America Straight ! I’m glad it was you of all people too, Because your a Role Model to allot of people !

Dear Alyssa,
I know you are displeased with the Jersey Shore program, however wanted to post the following question and statement to you. Have you ever spent any time in that area of the NJ Shore, during the summer time? I am not talking about Long Beach Island, I mean specifically Seaside Heights? The show is an accurate depiction of what transpires down there. Yes they use profanity, drink, are possibly intimate with strangers, and often wear reviling clothing. These kids are not doing drugs or anything illegal. Yes a cast member was battered to which the person was arrested. Bearing all of that in mind what makes this show any worse or better than other programs on TV. I know the participants on the show are Italians; however I have spent time in the exact places the show is shot and must say it is a very accurate depiction of what happens down there.
I question your justification to step out and counter the show as you have. Are you offended at other programs on television or just this one? How did you feel with the other previous MTV shows that were filmed in Seaside Height NJ in years past? Did the Sopranos offend you? How much time have you spent in New Jersey through the years? I know you were born in New York, but have you spent time over the Hudson?
America is a great place because we can share our thoughts. I have taken the time to challenge your view point. If you truly stand for your actions I would like to hear your counter sent to my email address which I provided. I look forward to your contact.

LMFAO. I am from and line in JERSEY myself and use to hate guidos then I dated one out of randomness and then I realized I hate GUIDOS even more. They make our state look worse than it ALREADY is.
