Milano takes over NHL’s Twitter feed for Game 3
By Corey Masisak – via NHL.com
LOS ANGELES — Alyssa Milano has more than 2 million followers on Twitter and is considered one of the most active celebrities on the social media network.
She’s also a huge fan of the Los Angeles Kings and has had season tickets since Luc Robitaille’s rookie season. With that in mind, she took control of the NHL’s official Twitter feed Thursday during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
“It is going well,” Milano said while tweeting a picture of her and the Kings’ mascot, Bailey. “It is an interesting exercise of trying to stay personal but not totally alienate the diehard hockey fans. I’m having fun.”
Milano was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., but has lived in Los Angeles since she was 11. Her first major role as an actress came as Samantha Micelli on the television series “Who’s the Boss?” and she was also one of the stars of the show “Charmed.” Some of her movie credits include “Fear,” “Hall Pass” and “New Year’s Eve.”
In addition to hockey, she’s also a huge baseball fan and has written a book entitled, “Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.” She also has a women’s clothing line dedicated to team-licensed apparel.
“Tony Danza had Kings tickets when they were playing at the Forum years and years and years ago, so I used to go with him all the time,” Milano said. “He used to give me his seats when I was old enough to drive. We’re also just a big hockey family. My brother played at Shattuck-St. Mary’s [the same school that Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews and Zach Parise attended] and he still plays all the time. We just love the sport.”
The Kings entered Thursday night on a seven-game winning streak and with a 2-0 lead in this series against the Phoenix Coyotes. It is the first time the Kings have advanced this far since 1993.
“It is pretty amazing,” Milano said. “I’m pretty superstitious when it comes to sports so I don’t want to gloat too much, but I’m pretty proud.”

Alyssa Milano to star in ABC’s ‘Mistresses’
by James Hibberd via Entertainment Weekly
Alyssa Milano is returning to TV this summer.
The actress has been cast in ABC’s new drama Mistresses. The series tells the story of four women with turbulent romantic lives. Milano plays Savannah, a successful married attorney who spends long nights racking up billable hours alongside her attractive law partner. Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan round out the show’s other three three leads. K.J. Steinberg (Gossip Girl) is the head writer of the show, which is based on a British format.
Milano, of course, has appeared in several hit series over the years, including Fox’s Melrose Place, The WB’s Charmed to NBC’s My Name is Earl.
Exclusive: Alyssa Milano Is Breaking In Again
As if Fox’s Breaking In (Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30c) hasn’t already raised the question of “Who’s the boss?” with the addition of Megan Mullally as Contra Security’s new owner, Alyssa Milano has been booked for an encore, as the scheming estranged wife of Christian Slater‘s Oz.
Ratings: Breaking In Returns Up Versus Season 1 Finale
Milano first played Amy early into Season 1 of the caper comedy, when the comely beauty passed herself off as a singleton dentist to Cameron as a means of plotting against her hubby. But by episode’s end, Oz and Amy seemed on the verge of a reconciliation.
Milano will reprise the role in this season’s Episode 9.
In addition to her runs on Who’s the Boss?, Charmed and My Name Is Earl, Milano’s more recent TV credits include the ABC rom-com Romantically Challenged, voicing Poison Ivy on Young Justice, Castle and the TV-movieSundays at Tiffany’s.
